Colorado Construction Supply Company acquires
Western-Mobile Inc, Colorado, the largest supplier of construction materials, has acquired the ready-mix operations RE Monks Construction Co.
The Deal, “significant” reserves the right gravel around Florence, three plants in Colorado Springs and Pueblo and 40-Ready Mix Beton truck. West-Mobile said it plans to rehire most of the 55 employees of the division of RE Monks.
“This transaction will enable us, in the concrete business and offer all three types of construction materials - aggregation, asphalt and concrete - southern Colorado to our customers,” said Mike Hurley, Area Manager for West-Mobile in southern Colorado.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the deal did not contain RE Monks “South Colorado pumps and concrete materials traction operations. Hurley said that companies were negotiations on the conditions for approximately six weeks.
West-Mobile, a unit of British conglomerate of construction materials Redland plc, has asphalt and gravel operations in southern Colorado, that 125 persons.
