The situation arises at a time, not over Denver closed in a black community, said Tanner, the first black woman to serve in the state Senate, she held a seat for 17 years.

“We are losing ground. Public schools are not the conclusion of our children. Black remains differences in housing and health care,” she says.

“I can not imagine the diversity of the city of Denver, without a Council of State and Government.”
